Emerging from the world of gaming, virtual reality has found a ready welcome in the aeronautic sector. Our partner publication DirectIndustry e-magazine was at Paris Air Show last June, and met with various players of the aerospace industry to discuss how VR takes to the skies. From Cobham’s virtual refueling simulation to test in-flight hose behavior to software editor PTC which solution’s, coupled with Microsoft’s Hololens, facilitates maintenance operations and Dassault Systèmes which opens the door to prediction, VR is flying high.
